and so, the strength of life renewed
in sinew, flesh and bone.
the stain of vigour in the countenance
that once had shown
the pallor of a soul condemned,
a body doomed, a heart offended
to it's very core.

and so, restored, the lust of youth,
for pleasure, truth - desire.
propensity for climbing mountains,
a longing for the beltane fire.
where once had been a heart grown cold,
within a body turned to stone, and old
it's years before.

and so, her future love delays
and leaves without a trace,
save memories of recent visit
lost to her in time.  replaced
by sudden immortality;
and subtle perspicacity to see
beyond the door.
