Nuah was a prophetess
enjoined to heaven's Will.
privvy to the thoughts within
that Infinite domain.
while meditating once
a fearsome vision she beheld;
- of water flowing everywhere,
and forty days of rain.
she scryed her oracles and bones,
her daughters danced and prayed,
made gifts of fasts and sacrifice
to Goddess of the Air.
then Wisdom spoke to Nuah and
a simple plan portrayed
and taught the way a remnant of
creation could be spared.
"Renewal is a must!" said She,
for Life is like a wheel."
and nodding in agreement, Nuah
listened carefully
as Wisdom finished speaking.
Her inventions all revealed
she thought of their conspiracy,
for hours, prayerfully.
then Nuah spake unto her clan:
"We must an ark prepare,
all wrought without in shittim wood
and pitched with sap and tar;
a craft to sail upon the flood
when darkness everywhere
obliterates the land with rain
and hinders moon and stars.
come, gather every creature,
man or beast that would be saved.
for God has taught me mysteries
and hearkened to our cries.
and will redeem a remnant, from
the deep. Tiamut's grave
will close it's mouth unto our ship.
we'll sail between the seas and skies."
her clan obeyed her every word,
from child to eldest soul.
and brought what things would be required
the so-journ to complete.
all useful beasts and other creatures
locked they in the hold.
'til Nuah and her daughters last
and then the storms did beat
upon the ark and battered them
for forty days and nights.
while Nuah and her clan within
sang songs of gratitude.
and when their trial had ended
and dry land had come in sight
they brought the ark about to
disembark their retinue.
then Nuah and her daughters thanked
the Goddess of the Air.
and danced and offered sacrifice
of worship and of praise.
and Nuah said to Wisdom:
"Ah, what wonders you've prepared
for those who listen for your voice
and hearken to your ways."
enjoined to heaven's Will.
